This is the front of a Sudden Ionospheric Disturbance (SID) monitor, which can detect sudden changes in Earth's <a href="/earth/Atmosphere/ionosphere.html&dev=1">ionosphere</a> caused by <a href="/sun/atmosphere/solar_flares.html&dev=1">solar flares</a> and similar <a href="/sun/solar_activity.html&dev=1">solar activity</a>.
