Cetus is a very large constellation. It is best viewed from October through January.

The constellation Cetus is known as The Sea Monster! It is a very large constellation. The Greeks thought the figure was the monster that tried to eat Andromeda. Perseus saved Andromeda and married her.
Cetus can only be seen a few months each year. Look for it in the months October through January.
Do you see a monster in the image? The smaller circle is the head. The long part is its body, and the big circle is his tail!
