What does it take to become an astronaut?
There are a few basic things that you have to do to become an astronaut. You have to be physically fit. So keep exercising and eating well like your mom tells you to!
You also have to have a college degree in math, science, or engineering. The mo
re you go to school, the better your chances!
Men and women can be astronauts, but you must be an adult.
It is hard to become an astronaut. About 4,000 people apply each year for the 20 positions that NASA fills every 2 years. For more information and a really long application, write to the Astronaut Selection Office, NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX
