Scientists Find Greenland Glacier Shrinking
Scientists have measured the thickness of the ice sheet over Greenland. They first measured it in 1993. Then they measured it in 1998. By subtracting the two measurements, they found how much the ice sheet has shrunk or grown. Overall, it's getting smaller. Scientists aren't sure why the ice sheet is shrinking. They think that it might have something to do with climate change, possibly global warming.What's New on the Site?
