Galileo is Still Going Strong!
News story originally written on January 7, 2000
The spacecraft Galileo is almost done with its mission! Galileo has been flying for ten years. It studied the planet Jupiter and its moons.
Galileo just went to the moon Europa. It took pictures that show there may be water there! Scientists don't know for sure, but if water is there, then there may also be life.
Scientists don't know what to do with Galileo once it is done with its mission. It is still working well, so they may keep using it to study another planet or moon.
