Technical Requirements & Plugins

Any computer with an Internet connection and a web browser can access Windows to the Universe free-of-charge. We recommend you use a recent version of any of the major web browsers (e.g. FireFox, Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.).

Windows to the Universe makes use of many of the latest features of Web technology to provide animations, movies, applets and sound bytes to users. You may need to install one or more plugins (small pieces of software that extend the capabilities of your web browser) to experience some of these multimedia features. Some common plugins are listed below, along with links to web sites from which you can get those plugins.
