"S" Marks The Spot For Solar Activity

Scientists think they found something on the sun that is related to coronal mass ejections. CME's can cause many problems around Earth. They can damage satellite and also interrupt electrical power.

The scientists found an S-shaped pattern on the sun. The pattern usually forms a few days before a CME. This will make it easier to tell when to expect a CME.
