Mother Nature's Air Conditioning

Trees and plants are a very important part of this Earth. Trees and plants are nature's air conditioning because they help keep our Earth cool.
On a summer day, walking bare-foot on the sidewalk burns, but the grass still feels cool to your feet. If humans remove grass to put sidewalks in place, that area of the Earth will get hotter.
This is what is happening in our cities. They are getting hotter and hotter because humans are putting sidewalks and parking lots where there used to be trees and grass.
Trees and plants make our cities beautiful. They also help keep our cities cool.
