Mars Lander may be Alive
News story originally written on January 27, 2000
NASA gave up on the Mars Polar Lander, but it may still be alive! Two faint signals were sent to Earth. Scientists say they probably came from Mars. The lander was supposed to send back to signals if it was still alive.
Scientists are really excited, because they thought the lander was lost. They say that even if it's alive, it won't be able to complete its mission. Right now they are hoping it can tell them what went wrong.
