Soccer!
The Chilean men's soccer team beat Argentina in a World Cup qualifying game this evening, 1-0. This is the scene that greeted our eyes in the Arica town square - a lot of hooting, a lot of
Chilean flags.
The science today wasn't bad either.
When is the next game?
As it turns out, the women's under-20 soccer world cup is being held in Chile this year,
with the US women's team playing their Argentinian peers on Nov. 22 in Chillan (somewhere
far south of us). Of course, in solidarity with the triumph of our hosts, the US team is also planning a 1-0 winning score against Argentina.
