Sunset in Arica, Chile
Greetings from Arica, Chile! The weather here seems to be very predictable and has cooperated with the wishes of the scientists here at VOCALS. You wake up in the morning to haze and fog. It appears to be very overcast, and you think that it might rain. But that won’t happen! Some people who live here have never seen rain. The fog always burns off, usually by 11:00 AM or so. It’s bright and sunny until around 5 PM. Then the clouds roll in. Everyone told me that you never see spectacular sunsets in Arica. There are always too many clouds in the early evening. Well, so far, I have enjoyed the beauty of each and every sunset. You can’t tell me that there are no spectacular sunsets in Arica!
