Two pictures of the South Pole of Uranus. The picture on the left shows Uranus the way our eyes would see it. The picture on the right was taken with special filters. It shows the "hood" of methane clouds over the pole. The South Pole is just below and to the left of the center of the planet in this picture. These pictures were taken by Voyager 2 in 1986.
