Recent Geophysical Indices

The KP index is a numerical value calculated from a global distribution of magnetometers that allows scientists to keep track of the level of geomagnetic activity on a given day. KP values range from 0 to 9, with low values indicating quiet geomagnetic conditions and high values indicating geomagnetic storm conditions.
