Scuba Diving has always been a part of my life and it has taught me a lot about the ocean, the environment and so much more! I have grown up around diving throughout my whole life. I started scuba diving when I was seven years old; I later got certified when I was twelve. My father who has been one of my greatest inspirations for scuba diving, has had the occupation of an environmental engineer, he has also been a scuba diving instructor therefore I got most of my knowledge from his teachings. I am a IANTD & CMAS certified diver. I love to submerge myself under the water for hours and just enjoy the aquatic life.
I have had many exciting adventures scuba diving. I have seen turtles, eels, sea urchins, sea spiders, a school of sting rays, and barracudas. I also had an encounter with a huge hammerhead shark. All of my experiences with these animals have made me want to protect them. When I grow up I would like to be an animal rights attorney to help protect these animals from becoming endangered.
Although diving takes up a great deal of my time I also enjoy other things. I love to dance because I feel as if I can express myself through dancing. This year was my last year in middle school, and this summer is going to be one of the best. I can’t wait to go back to the Bahamas and seek new adventures!
