Immanuel Velikovsky was a writer born in 1895 in Vitebsk, Russia. After traveling and working in many places throughout the world, he moved to the United States.
During his travels and different jobs, Immanuel Velikovsky wrote many books regarding history, religion and science. His most controversial work, Worlds in Collision, states that a rearrangement of the electromagnetism of the solar system caused Venus and Mars to closely approach the Earth and cause many disasters to early humanity. Velikovsky's work was known by most for being controversial and inaccurate. He passed away on November 17, 1979.
