Vladimir Aksenov is a cosmonaut who was born on February 1, 1935, in
Aksenov became a cosmonaut in 1973. He has spent over 12 days in
space on two spaceflights.
In 1976, Aksenov flew aboard Soyuz 22. During this eight-day mission, the crew
used a special camera to study the stars.
Aksenov made his second flight in 1980 aboard Soyuz T-2. The craft visited the
Salyut 6 space station.
