Callisto liked what Jupiter (who was pretending to be Diana) said, and enjoyed being with him. After spending time with Jupiter, Callisto became pregnant by him. The other young river goddesses were jealous of Diana's (who was really Jupiter) special attention to Callisto. When Callisto's pregnancy became obvious, the other goddesses revealed Callisto's condition to Diana. When Diana discovered that Callisto was pregnant she forced Callisto out of her company.
