The Mars Global Surveyor photographed this crater on November 19, 1997. It is located on the high plain, Icaria Planum. This crater features flow ejecta, material thrown out of the crater during impact from an orbiting object. Some scientists believe that flow-ejecta suggests water existed near the surface of Mars at the time of impact.
