News story originally written on October 28, 2004
The Cassini spaceship flew by Titan on October 26, 2004. Titan is a moon of
Saturn. Titan is Saturn's biggest moon.
Cassini took some great pictures of Titan - the best ever! It also measured
Titan's atmosphere. Those measurements will help the Huygens lander make a
safe landing. Cassini will drop the Huygens lander off at Titan. Huygens will
land on Titan in January 2005.
Cassini is in orbit around Saturn. Cassini will fly past Titan 44 more times
in the next four years! We should learn a lot about Titan!
