February marks the 20th anniversary of the beginning of Windows to the Universe! This project started with funding from NASA in February 1995, and we've been working to maintain and grow this resource with the support of many sponsors since that time! Our sponsors have included multiple NASA offices and centers, multiple NSF projects, collaborations with NOAA, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, the Center for Multiscale Modeling of Atmopsheric Processes at Colorado State University, the Center for Space Weather Modeling at Boston University, the American Geosciences Institute, the American Geophysical Union, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the High Tide project at Old Dominion University -- to name just a few of our sponsors! Over this period, we have reached nearly a billion people around the world, at a cost of only about $10 million over 20 years. We've been able to provide resources to countless teachers and students around the world thanks to a very small staff and volunteers. Thank you to all the educators and scientists who have contributed to this resource - we look forward to continuing to serve Earth, space, and environmental science educators and learners in the coming year!Read more
