AGU-NESTA GIFT Workshops
NESTA and AGU have teamed up to organize the AGU-NESTA GIFT workshop at American Geophysical Union Fall Meetings in San Francisco, California. These workshops are designed for K-12 classroom teachers, and bring together some of the world's best geoscientists with education specialists to share their state-of-the-art Earth and space science knowledge with exemplary classroom resources to help bring Earth and space sciences alive for your students.
Access materials shared at the 2011 AGU-NESTA GIFT workshop here.
The American Geophysical Union is the world's largest professional society for geophysicists internationally, with over 50,000 members worldwide. Teachers can join AGU for only $20/year, and receive a weekly science newsletter - EOS Transactions - with updates on the geosciences from this worldwide community of scientists. Teachers can attend the AGU-NESTA GIFT workshop at no charge, but they must register in advance. Workshops are held each year at the Fall AGU Meeting, held typically in the second week of December. Information about the upcoming GIFT workshop is posted several months in advance, and can be found on the AGU Teacher page.
