Windows to the Universe Original
During the first month of our new Windows to the Universe Educator opportunity, 430 educators from around the world have registered in our new community. The map to the left shows the locations of Educator Community members by country, color coded to indicate the number of registrants per country. Most members of our community are in the United States, although over 100 educators are in other countries around the world. Teaching responsibilities of Windows to the Universe Educators within the community seem to be approximately equally distributed among the elementary (US Grades K-5, or ages 5 -10, 29%), intermediate (US Grades 6 - 8, or ages 11-13, 30%), and high school levels (US Grades 9 - 12, or ages 14 - 18, 30%). An additional 11% of Community Educators are teaching at undergraduate or graduate levels. We will periodically update information about our Educator Community in coming months!
