Poetry and Pictures - Weather

American artist Albert Bierstadt painted landscapes of the western United States during the nineteenth century. He was a part of the Hudson River School, a group of painters who painted in a style that is sometimes called Luminism. In the center of the valley in this painting there is a low stratus cloud also called fog. There are some stratocumulus in the upper right.

Today's Highlighted Poem

Cosmic Fate
by O., age 50, Arizona/United States

Cosmic Fate
Time and Beauty still abound
Life and Water make no sound
Cosmic Fate this air to breathe
Tell the Mountains how you feel
Plant Your feet this solid ground
Feel the Pull from all around
Eternal Energy take a drink
Soak Your Soul always think
Grateful for this Air I Breathe
Thankful for this Life I Lead
Peaceful now Share this Hope
With People who Need it Most
Love and Light to All who Need
Spread this Word Help to Heal
