Alfred Worden

Alfred Worden was an American astronaut who was born on February 7, 1932, in Michigan. Before he became an astronaut, Worden was a test pilot for the Air Force.

Worden became an astronaut in 1966. He has spent over 295 hours in space on one spaceflight. In 1971, Worden served as command module pilot of Apollo 15. Worden spent three days orbiting the moon while fellow astronauts explored the lunar surface.
