David Wolf
David Wolf was an American astronaut who was born on August 23, 1956,
in Indiana.
Before he became an astronaut, Wolf worked as a doctor for the Air Force.
Wolf became an astronaut in 1990. He has spent over 3216 hours in space
on two spaceflights. In 1993, Wolf flew aboard STS-58. He spent 14 days
studying the effects of microgravity on the body.
In 1997, Wolf flew aboard STS-86. The crew docked with the Mir space station.
Wolf is currently aboard Mir and is expected to stay for 4 months to study life
sciences.
