Thomas Jones

Thomas Jones is an American astronaut who was born on January 22, 1955, in Maryland. Before he became an astronaut, Jones was in the Air Force.

Jones became an astronaut in 1991. He has spent over 40 days in space on three space flights.

In 1994, Jones flew aboard STS-59. The crew made several observations of the Earth using radar telescopes. Jones made his second spaceflight later that year on STS-68.

Jones flew aboard STS-68 in 1996. The crew deployed and retrieved two satellites during this mission.
