Who discovered all the planets?
Most of the planets have been known about for a long time. Only three were really "discovered."
Uranus was found in 1781 by William and Caroline Herschel. Lots of people had already seen it, but no one knew it was a planet.
John Couch Adams guessed that Neptune existed by doing lots of math calculations. In 1846, Neptune was actually found.
Clyde Tombaugh found Pluto in 1930 by taking lots of pictures of the sky. He looked for anything that moved, and found Pluto.
