NASA's Lunar Prospector Completed
News story originally written on March 12, 1997

The building of NASA's Lunar Prospector has ended. This spacecraft will travel to the Moon in September 1997. It will map out the Moon's surface and will find out what the Moon is made of. It will also figure out how strong the Moon's gravity is.

The cost of the craft and its mission are estimated to $63 million.
