Prospector Reaches the Moon

The Lunar Prospector has reached the
Moon. The Prospector completed its third orbital maneuver this morning. One more lunar orbital burn will be necessary before the spacecraft is in its final mapping orbit.
The current spacecraft status is healthy, with all instruments on. Communication with Prospector is stable.
There will be a one-hour press conference at NASA Ames, 12 noon EST live on NASA Television.
