Massive Sunspot!

The largest
sunspot of the decade has shown its face on
the Sun. You can see the sunspot in the upper, right hand part of the Sun. Though it doesn't look like much, this area is equivalent to the surface area of 14 Earths!
Already, flares and coronal mass ejections (CMEs) have shot from this sunspot. These flares and CMEs released March 28th-29th are headed towards Earth. This means there may be increased auroral activity and possibly even radio or power blackouts this weekend!
