Hurricane Bonnie Update
News story originally written on August 27, 1998

"It ain't over yet, but already folks in North Carolina are calling Bonnie more of a 'shingle-flinger' than a killer storm." (ABC News) Hurricane Bonnie has become a tropical storm heading inland toward Vriginia. Many warnings remain in effect, but the only true threat now is flooding. Here's the tropical update index supported by the Weather Channel.

This hurricane was classified as a a category 3 storm capable of considerable damage.
