The Artrain Rides Again!

The famous NASA Artrain is starting a new journey across the country! The world's only traveling art museum will spend the next three years visiting over one hundred communities in 48 states. The exhibit will open on July 21, 1999, in Washington D.C., and then continue a tour throughout the United States.
The exhibit is called "Artistry of Space" and will feature 78 works from NASA and the National Air and Space Museum. Some of the artists featured include
Norman Rockwell and Andy Warhol. There will also be jazz music featuring Jane Ira Bloom.
NASA formed this project to bring art to communities that have no museums. The NASA Art Program began in 1962 and has been visited by more than 2.6 million people.
