Intrusive rocks

If the magma never bubbles to the surface but instead cools in place as a large block, it is an intrusive rock. There are three types of intrusive rock: gabbro, granite and diorite. The difference is between their PH level.

If the magma is erupted to the surface as lava, the resulting rock is called extrusive.
