On Earth, the air is made mostly of nitrogen, but there is some oxygen for us to breathe too.
On Mars, the air is made of carbon dioxide. Solid carbon dioxide is also known as dry ice. (You may have seen dry ice used to create smoke at a concert or haunted house).
